Have you ever asked yourself how many dating websites are on the internet? Well, I must not prove this to you because you can see it on your own if you open www.google.com and search for “dating site” well you will see on top right side google found about 67,700,000 for dating site. Well, let’s ignore 70% of them, because they are directories articles like one of this one and we get 20,310,000 of dating websites. It looks like WOW. Well, some of them are for free some are for money, some are for *s and some for normal dating, and so on.
We will pick few categories that are mostly asked buy people.
1. Free dating sites:
A free dating site is the one that offers to its visitor’s free access to their website. For example you register and start chatting or writing emails to people. Such websites usually has more members registered on it then paid website. Why? Because more people want everything for free. Few of such websites are:
1. Russian free online community
2. OkCupid.com
4. Free dating site
On such websites you must know that you will meet many fake profiles, for example:
A man can register as women, profile pictures can be of other members etc. However there are also real people. I met them on my self.
How you can make a difference between real profiles and fake one?
Usually fake profiles are the ones that have pictures of faces like models or very quality pictures. Also pictures with very small size like 200px – 300px. Also if you are chatting with such member or even some one else, you can test her or him during the conversation. Ask such questions:
- Where are you from? If the answer is USA but at the moment I ma in Africa because my mom fills ill, then stop the conversation at this point. Because after few minutes of conversation she or him will fall in love with you and will ask you to send money.
- If the profile has only one picture, you must also be careful. Ask her/him to send you by email more pictures, you can say that you will send also some pictures of your self back.
- Be careful of members that are going very easy in conversation. For example if it is a girl and after few messages she is like ok I am yours and bombing you with hot nice words then something is not in normal here, you better check it.
- Also if you are married be also careful because your partner might test on you and use a fake profile in order to catch you. If you are a male and you are registered on dating site, usually its not often when girls are writing to boys. Ok, if you get a message form a hot girl and she is telling you that she wants to meet you, then in your place I would think about it very good, and I would advice you to go very carefully in such conversation. You better be on ignoring side.
You must also be advised that from all fake profiles on the internet 80% are female profiles.
1. Paid dating websites / Dating site with membership
Why people register on paid websites, since there are so many free dating websites? Well, one reason can be because those people have already been registered on free websites and met only scams/fake members. They didn’t know how make a difference between real profiles and fake profiles. On paid dating sites the reason there are less fake profiles because you register by credit card and you give your information about you. Therefore you cannot make scam otherwise you will get catch very quick. However, I want to ask all of you, do you think when dating website starts on the internet, and it has 1 or 2 members on it, will you register and pay for membership when there are no members? I am sure your answer is NO. So, then how come there so many members on such dating websites? Of course the answer is fake members profile made by administration. Now, it is even possible to make the website to show fake profiles that are online. Ok, don’t fall in depression; there is a good solution of how to pick the right paid website.
First of all register only on websites that are:
- at list 3-4 years on the web
- That are indexed by Google and are on good position
- That has a great rich content on the website
- Read their privacy and terms before registering
- Register on those websites that offer free trial like on week or three days.
Just be careful there are many good websites and not good websites.
In conclusion, in order to safe your self from scammers be very careful. It’s better to ask your virtual partner on a webcam conversation or on a date. I’m sure if the person is real there will b no problems for him/her to accept your offer.

Thanks for sharing these useful tips. I think it’s very significant to choose the right site to visit so that you can get the favorable responses. So pay some attention to find the right site which suits you. First make a decision who or what you are looking for. Do you want a few dates or a long term relationship?
